Second, the professional setting and personnel training
Since 1983, in order to meet the requirements of education and social development in our province, the Chinese Department has adhered to the direction of running schools with normal education as the main part, and at the same time, it has given consideration to opening other majors to cultivate talents in various fields for the society. The annual enrollment scale of Chinese language and literature education major in normal universities is between 120 and 160, which has delivered a large number of qualified teachers to all kinds of schools in our province, and many of them have become the backbone teachers of their schools. Many graduates who work in other industries have made extraordinary achievements, and some have taken up leadership positions at all levels. 1993- 1996. In order to meet the needs of society, the College of Public Relations and Secretarial Affairs was established, with 4 students enrolled, totaling 1 16. These students were all employed after graduation. 1999 under the new situation of expanding the enrollment scale of higher education, the non-normal undergraduate Chinese language and literature major has been established, and now two students have been enrolled, forming a school-running pattern in which the two undergraduate Chinese language and literature majors go hand in hand. At present, the number of students in the two majors is 8 18.
Since 1984, the Chinese Department has resumed recruiting correspondence students majoring in Chinese language and literature, and more than 5,000 correspondence students have graduated so far.
Since the new period, the postgraduate education of Chinese Department has been developing continuously. As one of the first master's degree-granting majors in China, China Ancient Literature began to recruit and train graduate students from 1978. So far, 65 students have enrolled and 49 students have graduated. China history major enrolls students from 1978 to1989 * *, and recruits and trains 13 graduate students; The major of World Literature began to enroll students from 1979 to1year, and * * * enrolled students 18 graduate students; 1994, the major of literature and art was granted the right of master's degree, and 35 students (including those who were originally affiliated with the major of ancient literature) were enrolled, and 19 people have graduated; 1998 China was granted the right to master's degree in modern and contemporary literature. This major enrolls 15 students (including the original literature and art major) and graduates 1 1 person. The major of Chinese teaching method belongs to the major of education. From 1996, it began to recruit and train graduate students. Two people have been recruited for two sessions, of which 1 has graduated. In addition, the Chinese teaching method major has also undertaken the task of training masters of education, and has implemented the plan of recruiting 20 masters of education. In postgraduate study, more than 20 people have obtained doctoral degrees, and some have become outstanding scholars, professors and academic leaders.
In addition, with the authorization of the State Education Commission and the approval of the Provincial Education Commission, the major of literature and art started to hold postgraduate courses and teaching assistant courses from 1996, with a total of five sessions 139 students (college students from Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and the province), of which four sessions 108 students have completed their studies. Since 1998, the majors of ancient literature, literature and art in China have been allowed to recruit on-the-job personnel with the same academic qualifications to pursue master's degrees. There are currently 18 graduate students. The vigorous development of postgraduate education has trained a large number of high-level talents for the society.
1993 with the approval of the provincial education commission and entrusted by the training center of the provincial normal university, the Chinese Department held a "college undergraduate" training course for Chinese teachers in colleges and universities in our province, and 48 people took part in the study and obtained full-time undergraduate diplomas, which effectively promoted the construction of college teachers in our province.
1988 With the approval of the Provincial Education Commission, the Chinese Department and the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles jointly held a writer's class. These students are all young writers who have made some achievements in the province's literary creation. * * * Recruit more than 40 students, with a two-year schooling, and award undergraduate diplomas. After two years of study in school, students' theoretical level and literary accomplishment have been further improved, laying a solid foundation for their creative progress. Since then, many students have become well-known writers in the province, and some have a certain influence in the national literary world.
While striving to complete the planned task of running a school, in accordance with the spirit of running a school for the society and cultivating talents for the society, the Chinese Department began to vigorously develop unplanned schools from 1993, and successively opened two types of professional self-study classes: public relations secretarial work, full-time and amateur. A large number of self-taught students from inside and outside the province have been well educated and guided here, realizing their ideal of self-taught.
Third, the construction of teaching staff and disciplines.
Teachers are the foundation of running a school. The leading bodies of previous Chinese departments have attached great importance to the construction of teaching staff. They adjusted their ideas and policies according to the reality of social changes and development in different periods and the changes in running schools, maintained the stability of the teaching staff and constantly improved the overall level. 1983, 88 faculty members, including 2 professors, 8 associate professors, 32 lecturers and 9 teaching assistants. In the early 1990s, the number of teaching staff in Chinese Department was the largest, reaching more than 100, and the faculty was quite strong. For example, 199 1 This year, there were 64 professional teachers in the department, including 6 professors and 32 associate professors. Since then, some young and middle-aged teachers have been transferred, a number of teachers have retired, and the number of teachers has decreased year by year. 1994 has 70 faculty members, including 50 professional teachers, including 6 professors, 23 associate professors, 17 lecturers and 4 teaching assistants. By the end of 1990s, the number of teachers in the whole department continued to decrease to about 60, and the number of professional teachers remained stable at about 45. However, the structure of the teaching staff was more optimized, and the overall level and strength were greatly improved. At present, there are 60 faculty members in the hospital, including 43 professional teachers. From the structure of professional titles, professor 1 1, associate professor 18, lecturer 18 and teaching assistant 4. From the perspective of academic structure, there are 5 doctors, 3 doctoral students, 2 1 master, and 4 local students. There are 4 provincial young and middle-aged academic leaders and 3 young and middle-aged backbone teachers. In addition, there are 33 retired teachers in the whole department, many of whom are well-known professors with academic attainments and certain influence inside and outside the province. They have made important contributions to the construction and development of the Chinese Department and still play an important role in the further development of the College of Literature.
No matter in the past development process or in the overall structure of today's schools, the Faculty of Arts (Chinese Department) is one of the key departments with the largest number of students, the strongest faculty and remarkable achievements in scientific research and discipline construction. The College of Literature (Chinese Department) has always insisted on attaching equal importance to teaching and educating people and discipline construction, taking teaching as the guide and promoting teaching through scientific research. While doing a good job in teaching reform and constantly improving the teaching level, the scientific research and discipline construction of the whole department have become a common practice and achieved gratifying results. August 1984 and 18 were approved by the Jiangxi provincial people's government, and the disciplines and majors of provincial universities 14 were identified as key disciplines, among which Chinese in Jiangxi Normal University was the only key discipline of liberal arts in the province. 1988 1 month, the Chinese discipline of Jiangxi Normal University was rated as a qualified key discipline by the professional evaluation of key disciplines in colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province. In the construction plan of provincial key disciplines in the early 1990s, the subject of contemporary literature and art of Chinese Department was listed as the key supporting discipline of the provincial "44 1" project. During the period of 1996, the evaluation of provincial key disciplines, literature and art were rated as provincial key disciplines, and China ancient literature was identified as provincial key construction disciplines. 1997 The College of Literature was rated as the advanced collective of national language and writing work and commended by the State Language Committee. According to incomplete statistics, since 1984, all teachers have published more than 60 academic works, published more than 1 100 academic papers and works, undertaken 17 national scientific research projects, 46 provincial and ministerial projects, and won 56 teaching and scientific research awards above the provincial and ministerial level. A number of disciplines have a certain status and influence in the whole province and even the whole country.
With the joint efforts of scholars of the older generation, such as Tao, Liu Fangyuan, Zhou Defan and Liu Shinan, the discipline of ancient Chinese literature has laid a solid foundation and become one of the few disciplines in our province to be awarded master's degrees. Since 1980s, a group of young and middle-aged scholars, such as Zhu Anqun, Tang Manxian, Lu, Yao, Wan Ping and Wang Qizhen, have maintained their advantages in this discipline and made continuous progress. At present, this discipline is still one of the disciplines with the largest number of liberal arts colleges, the strongest academic team and the strongest strength, with 4 professors and 5 associate professors. In the past ten years, this discipline has published academic works 17, more than 300 academic papers, undertaken 4 national projects and 6 provincial projects, and won 12 provincial awards. Now, everyone is working together in Qi Xin to achieve the goal set by the key construction discipline planning at an early date.
The discipline of literature and art is a stubborn subject in the College of Literature (Chinese Department) in the mid-1980s. Chen Dingru, Xiong Dacai and Zhou Chongpo laid a certain foundation for the development of this discipline. Subsequently, under the leadership of academic leaders Chen and Fu Xiuyan, after more than ten years of construction, young and middle-aged teachers in this discipline worked hard and made gratifying achievements in the research fields of China's poetry criticism history, literary narratology, literary aesthetics, literary theory and literary criticism. At present, there are 5 professors, 2 associate professors, 3 provincial young and middle-aged academic leaders and young and middle-aged backbone teachers 1 person. He has published 23 academic monographs and more than 500 academic papers, undertaken national projects 18 and provincial projects 18, and won more than 30 provincial and ministerial awards. He once hosted 1996 China International Symposium on Ancient Literary Theory, and his overall strength and academic influence were well evaluated in the literary and art circles. As a provincial key discipline and a discipline supported by the school, it is working towards a higher construction goal.
The discipline of modern and contemporary literature in China was once one of the most powerful disciplines in Chinese Department, and it had certain characteristics and advantages in the study of Soviet literature and works of modern writers in China. Under the leadership of Mr. Zhou Congxiu, Qi Xin, Wang Mulan, Zou, Zong Ziyin and others worked together to establish a master's degree in modern and contemporary literature in China, which laid a good foundation for the further development of the subject. At present, a group of young and middle-aged scholars are continuing their efforts to forge ahead towards higher goals.
The discipline of Chinese philology led by Yu Xinle and the discipline of world literature and comparative literature led by Zhang, Zhang and Zhang are also strong disciplines in the Chinese Department, and have achieved a number of important research results. They have trained several graduate students since the new period. After several ups and downs, since the mid-1990s, the discipline of Chinese philology, headed by Lei, Yan Sen and Song Yilin, and the discipline of world literature and comparative literature, headed by Fu Xiuyan, have been adjusted in time to strengthen the construction of teaching staff and scientific research strength. In 2000, both subjects were listed as master's programs.
Under the leadership of Mr. Yu Yingyuan, the discipline of Chinese teaching method has made many important and distinctive achievements in the research of Chinese teaching theory and method through years of unremitting efforts, which has laid a good foundation for the development of the discipline and has the strength and basic conditions for training graduate students and master of education. In 2000, I cooperated with my brother departments to apply for a master's degree in subject teaching theory, which has been successful.
In addition, the teachers of writing discipline not only study writing theory, but also devote themselves to literary creation, and have made great achievements in the creation of novels, essays, reportage and other styles; At the same time, teachers in this discipline also actively guide students' writing practice, improve students' writing ability and creative level, and cultivate a group of influential creative talents both inside and outside the province.
