The process of applying for financial aid for poor college students
The process for poor college students to apply for grants is as follows:

1. At the beginning of each academic year (before the start of school in September), prepare the Questionnaire on College Students and Their Families and the Local Poverty Certificate (such as the village committee or street), because these two copies need to be stamped.

2. Fill in the application form. Every college student who wants to apply for poverty relief needs to fill out a detailed application form, including personal information, family economic status, study and life at school and so on. This information will become an important basis for the school to review the application. Therefore, it is necessary to be as detailed and true as possible when filling in.

2. Submit an application. Print the Questionnaire of College Students and Their Families. If you are a freshman, you can get it from the handbook issued at the time of admission. This form must be included in the manual; Non-freshman students can download it from the internet and fill in the corresponding information after using it. Fill in the application form and hand it over to the relevant department of the school.

3. View the application. After receiving the application, the school will conduct a detailed review according to the information in the application form. In this process, it is necessary to provide family income proof, household registration book and other materials.

4. Grant subsidies. After passing the exam, eligible students will receive poverty subsidies, including tuition fee reduction, free accommodation, living allowance, grants, student loans and so on.

Brief introduction of poverty allowance

1. Due to some specific events or reasons, it has caused certain difficulties to the normal life of taxpayers themselves or their families. According to the regulations of the state, the employer pays the temporary subsidy for living difficulties from the retained welfare funds or trade union funds.

2. The "living allowance" here is equivalent to the "economic compensation" stipulated by labor laws and regulations. At that time, the implementation of the labor contract system was a concrete relief for employees of state-owned enterprises. The original provisions are applicable to receiving living allowance, and the general provisions are no longer applicable to receiving economic compensation.

3. Poverty Subsidy for College Students: It is used to subsidize students with financial difficulties in full-time college students (including higher vocational colleges and second bachelor's degrees). The average subsidy standard is 2000 yuan per student per year, which is paid monthly. Before September 30th every year, students apply to the school.
