1. Tianjin Foreign Studies University:
Tianjin Foreign Studies University is located in the northern economic center and the port city of Tianjin. It is a multi-lingual, multi-disciplinary, multi-level and open institution of higher learning and one of the eight independent foreign language colleges in China. Tianjin Foreign Studies University, formerly known as Tianjin Institute of Technology and Business, was founded by the Catholic Diocese of Xianxian County in 192 1.
As of June 20 15, the school has two campuses, Machang Road and Binhai, with a total area of 1040.06 mu. Racecourse Road Campus is located in the city center. Most of the buildings on campus are in western European classical style, with elegant shapes and clean and quiet campus environment. It is one of the landmark buildings in Tianjin. Binhai Campus is located in Dagang Higher Education Ecological Park in Binhai New Area, with beautiful scenery and beautiful lakes and mountains. Tianjin Foreign Studies University is a distinctive institution of higher learning, with foreign languages and literature as its dominant disciplines, and literature, economy, management, law, education, art, engineering and other disciplines develop in a coordinated way. It is one of the first eight independent foreign language institutions in China. 192 1 year, Tianjin Technology and Business University, one of the school's predecessors, was founded in Machang Road and later renamed as Jingu University and Hebei University. 1964, under the kind care of Premier Zhou Enlai, Qinhuangdao Foreign Studies Institute (later renamed Tianjin Foreign Studies Institute), the predecessor of the school, was established.
From 65438 to 0974, the former Tianjin Foreign Studies University, the former Tianjin Foreign Studies School, the former Japanese major of Tianjin Normal University, and the former academic forces and teachers of foreign languages and Chinese majors of Hebei University were reorganized into Tianjin Foreign Studies University. Postgraduates majoring in English and Japanese are admitted 1979. 198 1 was approved by the State Council as the first batch of master's degree awarding units. 20 10 was renamed Tianjin Foreign Studies University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
20 12 Graduate School of Tianjin Foreign Studies University was established. The China Central Compilation Bureau and Tianjin Foreign Studies University cooperated to build a high-level talent training platform "Doctor Training Program for Foreign Language Translation Research of Important Documents of the Party and the State", which was officially approved by the National Academic Degree Office recently. This is also the first national heavyweight doctoral program of the Graduate School of Tianjin Foreign Studies University.
