China Geo University is a national key multi-disciplinary university directly under the Ministry of Education, featuring geology, resources, environment and geo-engineering technology, and integrating science, engineering, literature, management, economics and law. It is one of the first batch of 33 universities in China to formally establish graduate schools, and the first batch of universities to enter the national "2 1 1 project". Its predecessor was Beijing Institute of Geology, which was formed by the merger of Geology Departments (branches) of Peking University, Tsinghua, Tianda and Tangshan Railway Colleges. 1952. Moved to Wuhan during the "Cultural Revolution", 1978 resumed running school in Beijing with the approval of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, and 1987 changed its current name with the approval of the State Education Commission, and was divided into two independent school-running entities, namely China Geo University Beijing and China Geo University Wuhan, both of which have independent legal personality. China Geo University, Beijing, is the home of its graduate school.

Ocean specialty

Military oceanography

Main courses: oceanography, marine survey, physical oceanography, military oceanography, military management, general meteorology, geographic information system, military command, etc.

Ability requirements: have good scientific literacy and theoretical knowledge of marine science and technology, be loyal to the construction of the army, be able to engage in the construction and research of marine battlefield environment, and develop morally, intellectually, physically and artistically.

Employment prospects: mainly engaged in related work in the navy and related units, colleges and universities, the State Oceanic Administration and its subordinate units, and local oceanic administrations.
