This major is a provincial major, which trains students to master the basic theories, knowledge and skills of modern biology systematically. Through solid professional skills training and practice, students have the comprehensive technical ability to transform biology and manufacture products by means of biology, engineering and informatics, and become compound talents serving scientific research, product development and management of high-tech industries.

Length of schooling: four years, bachelor of science degree.

Main courses: basic biochemistry, immunoassay technology, plant tissue culture, animal cell culture, applied microbiology, natural products and separation technology, enzyme engineering principle and technology, molecular biology, genetic engineering and bioinformatics.

Employment destination: Graduates can study for master's and doctor's degrees in biology and related disciplines in our school or go abroad for further study. Can also be engaged in product research and development, technical services, production and management and technical management in high-tech enterprises or institutions in agriculture, medicine, food, environmental protection and other bio-related industries. You can also engage in related work in teaching and research units.
