Musicology, painting, dance performance, visual communication design (Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools), environmental design (Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools) and digital media art (Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools) are selected according to the comprehensive scores of candidates. The comprehensive score is calculated with 750 as the perfect score, and the specific conversion method is as follows:

(1) Music major and painting major: comprehensive score of candidates = total score of college entrance examination ×750×50%+ total score of professional provincial unified examination ×750×50%.

(2) Dance performance major: the comprehensive score of the candidates = the cultural investment score of the college entrance examination ÷ the total score of the college entrance examination ×750×20%+ the score of the professional provincial unified examination ÷ the total score of the professional provincial unified examination ×750×80%.

(3) Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools: the comprehensive score of candidates = the score of cultural investment in the college entrance examination ÷ the total score of the college entrance examination ×750×70%+ the score of the professional provincial unified examination ×750×30%.

Xiamen University, or XMU for short, is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a world-class university construction university (Class A) and a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".

Xiamen University was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in China's modern education history, one of the earliest universities in China to recruit graduate students, and the first university in China to build an independent campus overseas.

The early buildings of the school were selected as the national key cultural relics protection units and the list of "the first batch of 20th century architectural heritages in China", and were praised as "the strongest in the South" and "the most beautiful university in China".
