1. University of Science and Technology Beijing, hereinafter referred to as University of Science and Technology Beijing, was founded in 1952 by the departments of mining and metallurgy of six famous domestic universities, including Beiyang University and Tsinghua University. Formerly known as Beijing Institute of Iron and Steel, 1988 was changed to its current name. Now it has developed into a Ministry of Education focusing on engineering, science, management, literature, economics and law. 1May, 1997, the school entered the national "2 1 1 project" to build universities. In 2006, the school became the first batch of pilot universities in the construction project of "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". 20 10 became the "excellent engineer education and training plan" university.

2. Beijing University of Technology (English name: Beijing University of Technology) was founded in 1960. It is a key university in Beijing, the first batch of universities awarded master's degrees in China, and the first batch of universities to enter the national "2 1 1 Project" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan". 1985 became a doctoral degree awarding unit. In 2003, the school was rated as excellent in the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level by the Ministry of Education. Beijing University of Technology is one of the universities that set up graduate schools and national university science parks in China, with first-class disciplines, national key disciplines and national engineering research centers. Beijing University of Technology is the first local institution in China to be approved as "11plan".
