Basic Survey of School of Management Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology
One of the earliest universities in China to resume management education after the reform and opening up, Beijing Institute of Technology established the Department of Management Engineering on 1980. In order to meet the needs of China's socio-economic and higher education development, the Department of Management Engineering was renamed School of Management in 1992, and School of Management and Economics in 1998.

At present, the college has nine departments: Management Science and Logistics Department, Management Engineering Department, Applied Economics Department, International Trade and Finance Department, Public Administration Department, Accounting Department, Organization and Human Resource Management Department, Technical Economics and Management Department and Marketing Department. It has research institutions such as philosophy and social science innovation base, energy and environmental policy research center, national economic mobilization education and training center, high-tech testing research center, modern organization management research center, science and technology evaluation and innovation management research center, system risk management research center, crisis management research center, and joint research center of Chinese and foreign family enterprises. There is a teaching experimental demonstration center in Beijing-Management and Economic Experimental Teaching Center, which is open to teachers and students all day.
