2. Introduction of Hubei Medical College
The school was founded in 1965, formerly known as Yunyang Branch of Wuhan Medical College, and started general undergraduate education in 1977. 1986 was renamed Yunyang medical college of Tongji medical university, and 1994 was renamed Yunyang medical college. 1996, the first batch passed the national undergraduate education evaluation at one time. In 2006, it passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education and obtained excellent conclusions. 20 10 was renamed Hubei Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school is an important training base for medical and health personnel in the central and western regions of China, a national clinical teaching and training demonstration center, and a training base for general practitioners and free medical students in Hubei Province. Affiliated Taihe Hospital is a "national civilized unit" and a "national advanced collective with May 1st Labor Award", and has the only embryonic stem cell research center in northwest Hubei. The affiliated Dongfeng Hospital is a "National People's Hospital" and a "National Top 100 Hospital" with the qualification of organ transplantation. The affiliated people's hospitals are "National People's Hospital" and "3A Model Hospital", and they are the first prefecture-level hospitals in China to obtain the business of "Human Assisted Reproductive Technology" from the Ministry of Health.
