10 engineering majors can be divided into two different directions: road and bridge engineering and construction engineering. In their career, the positions of these two directions are not only generally unified, but also specific differences in details. Generally speaking, the main employment direction of civil engineering specialty is construction direction and design direction.

I. Construction direction

This is the choice of most civil engineering graduates, and the construction direction is professional counterparts. There is a big difference in wages between large construction and small units. The wages of China Construction and China Railway are usually higher than those of general construction units 1000 yuan. However, large construction units usually do projects everywhere, which is not conducive to the accumulation of personal resources and has a certain impact on their marriage and career.

Moreover, due to the large number of people and fierce competition, it is difficult to become a project manager. These large enterprises are suitable for technology and don't like to deal with technology. At the same time, I like those who are in contact with nature and have certain requirements for starting salary.

For small construction enterprises, they basically do projects in one area, and the treatment may not be high at first. But because I often work in an area, I can build my own network resources. It is very convenient for you to start your own business, socialize and do some private work to earn some extra money in the future. Small businesses don't care about high education.

Second, the design direction

Because structural design is related to the safety of buildings, most design institutes pay attention to the qualifications and experience of designers. So everyone thinks that the design institute is unattainable, so they give up sending resumes to the design institute. In fact, the first-class design institutes in big cities are all interested in academic qualifications. Some design institutes in county-level cities are still short of people in structural design and architectural design.

If you get good grades in college, you can draw with CAD and learn PKPM. Colleges and universities can try some larger design institutes. If it is a second school, you can try the design institute in your hometown or the design institute in a county or city near your hometown. The structural design work is stable, and for two weekends, the construction unit can't match it, and the treatment is generally similar.
