General situation of Japanese Department of Donghua University
Established in 2002, the Japanese major of the Department of Foreign Languages is a key discipline of Donghua University, and it is also the only Japanese major in a comprehensive university that has won the honor of "National Characteristic Specialty Construction Point" from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. Japanese majors won the second place in the 22nd Shanghai University Students' Speech Competition in 2008, and the first prize in East China Division of the 2009 China Cup Japanese Speech Competition. In terms of discipline construction, Japanese majors actively carry out scientific research activities, hold a series of influential academic international seminars and publish a series of academic papers at home and abroad, relying on the liberal arts base of "Japanese Studies", Japan Modern Research Center and Japanese textbook R&D Center. With Tokyo A&M University, tokyo university of foreign studies, Waseda University, Meiji University, Central University, takushoku university, Xinglin University, Kyoto Foreign Studies University, osaka prefecture university, Okinawa University and other Japanese institutions of higher learning, we have a good cooperative relationship, providing students with various opportunities to study in Japan. Since the first student graduated in 2006, the graduates have been active in well-known Japanese enterprises such as Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Itochu Corporation, Mizuho Bank, Toyota, Honda, Panasonic, Hitachi, Mori Building and Hi Bird, with an employment rate of 100%.
