Hello! The College of History and Culture is one of the traditional advantage colleges of Huazhong Normal University. The college has history department, culture department, China Institute of Modern History, China Institute of Historical Literature, Chu Institute, Taoist Research Center and Wuhan Base of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.

The college has a strong faculty, with 79 faculty members, including 33 professors (19 doctoral supervisors) and 20 associate professors. Professor Zhang Kaiyuan is a famous historian and educator at home and abroad. Professor Ma Min is the president of our school and the chairman of the history teaching steering committee of the Ministry of Education.

The College Information Center has more than 200,000 books, more than 500 Chinese and foreign periodicals, and the Cultural Relics Museum has nearly 3,000 pieces of various cultural relics. In recent years, the college has undertaken more than 20 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, published more than 30 academic works and teaching materials, and published more than 200 CSCI papers.
