Although the College of Civil and Commercial Law was formally established less than 8 years ago, as the predecessor and an important part of the College of Civil and Commercial Law, the discipline of civil and commercial law was almost established and grew up with Southwest University of Political Science and Law. After 60 years of hard work, our college has gone through a glorious course of nearly 60 years. At the beginning of the reform and opening up, Professor Jin Ping and Professor Yang were the leading figures, and a large number of academic elites gathered, making immortal contributions to China's civil legislation and legal research. Li, Zhao, Chen Wei, Tan Qiping, Shi, Liu, Zhang Geng, Li Yufeng, Wang Shihu, Tang Lieying, Wang Hong, Cao Xingquan, Xiao Houguo, Sun Peng, Xu Jie, Wu Chunyan, Zhang Li, Wang Yuyu, Li Yan, Hou Dongde and other successors carried forward and laid the foundation.

In the course of 60 years' development, we can't forget the special contributions made by the older generation of legal experts such as Sun Xiaoshi, Zhang Xujiu, Ye, Zhang and Hu. Although most of them have passed away, their outstanding contributions to the development of colleges and disciplines will always be remembered and missed by future generations. At the same time, we can't forget many scholars who have taught or held leadership positions in universities, disciplines or teaching and research departments since the reform and opening up: Chi Jie, Wang Weiguo, Lu Zhengping, Yang Suiquan, Liu Xiaoxing, Wu Zaiyang, Li, Zhang Hua, Cong Peizhong, Yang Zeyan and so on. Although they left the college for various reasons, they also made great efforts and contributed a lot to the development of the college.

Since its establishment, the College has always implemented the Party's educational policy, adhered to the school-running philosophy of coordinated development, student-oriented, all-round quality and open education, adhered to the undergraduate teaching as the center, discipline construction as the leader, teacher team construction as the guarantee, and personnel training as the fundamental task, made great efforts, determined to reform and forge ahead, and made great achievements in discipline construction, academic research, personnel training, social services and international exchanges.

We firmly believe that under the correct leadership of the school party committee and administration, and with the joint efforts of all teachers and students, the school of political science, law, civil and commercial law will be even more brilliant tomorrow!
