On how to strengthen the construction of student cadres in colleges and universities
Some time ago, a class I was in charge of held a general election for the class committee. It's been a year and a half since the last class committee took office, and now it's the next semester of junior year. The students in the class are not very satisfied with the work of some class committees. Many students who are committed to class work hope to have the opportunity to serve their classmates and exercise their abilities, so it is imperative to hold a general election. The general election shall follow the following procedures: 1. The last class committee made a general election plan, which was reviewed by the general branch teacher, class teacher and counselor. Second, the counselor talks with the candidates and some students in the class to understand the details of the class and the suggestions of the students for change; Third, hold a class meeting, and the candidates will give a speech on stage; 4. Voting and voting on the spot; Five, the class teacher, counselor according to the usual understanding of students and voting results to determine the final class committee. Now, the new class committee has been elected and taken office, and the class work is being carried out in an orderly manner. Some problems exposed in this general election have given me a deeper understanding of the selection and training of student cadres. Student cadres in colleges and universities are a special group of college students, playing an important role in the construction of campus culture and playing an irreplaceable role. They are not only the objects of education, but also the administrators of students, and more importantly, the assistants of teachers and the "waiters" of students. Student cadres are under the double pressure of study and work. If there are problems in the understanding of "cadres", the improvement of their own quality, and the coordination between study and work, it will easily affect their work enthusiasm and future development. Student organizations play an extremely important role in the ideological and political education of college students. How to strengthen the construction of student cadres is of great significance for building a harmonious campus and creating a good campus environment. Through this general election, I have concluded that student cadres are prone to the following problems: (1) The relationship between work and study cannot be handled correctly. Some cadres ignore the importance of learning and put most of their energy into their work, resulting in poor academic performance; (two) the motivation is not strong, easy to fall into inertia and inertia thinking mode; (3) Some cadres lack initiative and necessary innovation consciousness; (D) service awareness is not strong, unhealthy atmosphere, prone to similar bureaucracy. Can not establish prestige among students, leading to a weak mass base and difficult work; (5) Some student cadres have poor psychological endurance, can't adjust themselves accurately, and can't set an example. In view of the current situation, I think we should improve the system and pay attention to training. (A) improve the selection and management system of student cadres. System construction is the fundamental guarantee for effectively exerting organizational functions. In the selection process, we should unify the standards, adhere to the principle of "justice, openness and fairness", adopt the method of combining democratic election with comprehensive investigation, pay attention to the coordinated development of both ability and political integrity, emphasize the combination of group and personality, and attract students with excellent ideological and political skills, decent work style, good mass base and strong organization and coordination ability to join student organizations. In the process of training and managing student cadres, we should try our best to avoid messy human factors, make a reasonable and comprehensive design for the work setting of each student cadre, clarify the responsibilities of each student cadre, form a scientific management system, and truly achieve "everyone has a full-time job and everything has a special person". (2) Strengthen training and guidance. Due to the influence of age, social experience and social and historical conditions, there are some unsatisfactory places in the work of student cadres. We should strengthen the training and education of student cadres, teach them all kinds of working methods, impart them all kinds of knowledge, constantly improve their working ability, enhance their understanding of social work, stimulate their enthusiasm for serving students, strive to overcome their own shortcomings, and create favorable conditions for improving the management of college students to a new level. (3) Establish and improve a scientific assessment mechanism. When assessing student cadres, we should grasp the strict assessment direction, adhere to the principle of combining regular assessment with daily work, use the assessment method of combining self-assessment, teacher evaluation and student evaluation, adopt the mode of combining qualitative assessment with quantitative assessment, summarize the work attitude, activity participation, task execution and coordination with other departments of student cadres, and conduct a comprehensive assessment from the aspects of morality, ability, diligence and performance. According to the assessment results, give appropriate rewards to student cadres, and actively strive for legitimate honors and interests for student cadres in the work of awarding awards, promoting outstanding candidates to join the party, and recommending employment. To sum up, student cadres are an important part of student management in colleges and universities, and play a role as a bridge and link in the practice of student management. The quality of student cadres directly affects the implementation of school rules and regulations and the development of various activities. We should attach great importance to the selection, training and assessment of student cadres, constantly explore new ideas and methods, and build a solid and reliable team of student cadres in an all-round way. This is not only the need to guide the healthy growth of contemporary college students and promote the harmonious and healthy development of colleges and universities, but also the need to train a large number of qualified builders and reliable successors of Socialism with Chinese characteristics.
