Shihezi University has two majors in this department. The school is a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university, a national western key construction university and a provincial university. It has four campuses in the south-central part of Northeast China and a new district in the northernmost part.

The predecessor of the extended information school was born in 1949, on the March of China People's Liberation Army to liberate Xinjiang. In April, 1996, Shihezi Agricultural College, Shihezi Medical College, Corps Normal College and Corps School of Economics were merged.

The two majors of Shihezi University are history, preschool education, China minority languages and literature, agronomy, geography, chemistry, animal science, animal medical education technology, teaching physics, tourism management, horticulture, agricultural resources and environment, forestry, plant protection, applied physics, information management and information system, nursing, information and computing science, and electronic information engineering.

The school has 1 1 disciplines, including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art and other disciplines. At present, there are 92 undergraduate majors, 8 first-class doctoral degree authorization points, 26 first-class master degree authorization points, 20 master degree authorization categories and 4 post-doctoral research stations. At present, there are 1 national first-class construction disciplines, 1 national key disciplines, 1 national key cultivation disciplines and1autonomous region-level key disciplines.
