For military academy graduates:
1. The ranks and numbers of non-commissioned officers of military conscripts admitted to military academies shall be determined according to their ranks and the ranks of non-commissioned officers who joined the army that year. For example, college graduates who entered the military academy after enlisting in 20 12, according to their two-year compulsory service period, the first-stage junior noncommissioned officers (corporal) completed their three-year service period (five years) and were promoted to the second-stage noncommissioned officers (sergeant) in the autumn of 20 17.

3. Graduates from military academies with military status shall be counted as military service from the time they enter school. If it is a junior college for three years, it is directly the second year of the first non-commissioned officer. After two years of service in the first period, non-commissioned officers will be promoted to junior (second period) non-commissioned officers according to the principle of individual voluntariness and the needs of the army.

Non-commissioned officers take active service and implement a graded service system. Article 21 Soldiers shall be discharged from active service after the expiration of their active service. If it is necessary to retire from active service due to the reduction of military posts, if it is proved by military hospitals that my health condition is not suitable for continuing active service, or if it is necessary to retire from active service for other special reasons, I can retire from active service ahead of schedule with the approval of organs at or above the division level. Article 22 Soldiers discharged from active service who meet the requirements for reserve service shall be determined by the army. Those who are qualified to serve as officers after assessment shall serve in the officers' reserve. Soldiers who have retired from active service and are confirmed by the army to serve in the reserve service shall register for reserve service with the military service organs of their counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts within 40 days from the date of retirement.
