Shanghai Jiaotong University is a key double-class university in China, and also a world-renowned university with a long history. Founded in 1896, it is a century-old school. However, during the War of Liberation, more than 3,000 teachers and students of Shanghai Jiaotong University did an earth-shattering event-petitioning collectively, even driving their own trains and laying their own tracks. Shanghai Jiaotong University has set up a "school care committee" for this purpose. Since April 1947, leaders, teachers and students of Shanghai Jiaotong University have organized many petitions in various ways, but all failed. On the evening of May 9, the School Nursing Committee held a college representative meeting, and the delegates unanimously decided that "all students should go to Beijing to petition". On the morning of May 1947 and 13, 2,800 students, accounting for 95% of the total number of students in the school, boarded 57 trucks. Under the leadership of the General Branch of China Jiaotong University, the captains of various brigades, squadrons and squadrons all wore distinctive armbands and were disciplined. The horn waiting for the departure is very sympathetic to the students, and the removed rails are also removed. As a result, more than 200 students from the Department of Civil Engineering immediately got off the bus, organized emergency teams to resurface the track, and the train continued to move forward. Although the Kuomintang government later dismantled the railway tracks several times to stop the teachers and students of Shanghai Jiaotong University from advancing, the students were able to repair them immediately and start again every time.
