Units below the division level refer to units below the division level in our military establishment, including regiments, battalions, companies, platoons, etc. Soldiers in these units are usually soldiers in grass-roots units and are the basic force of the army. The selection of college soldiers for promotion is mainly to select outstanding college soldiers from these grass-roots units.
The promotion and selection targets of college graduate soldiers need to meet certain conditions. Before joining the army, you must be a full-time graduate of an ordinary university, including undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate graduates should be graduates who have passed the national unified entrance examination of ordinary colleges and universities, been admitted by provincial entrance examination institutions and obtained full-time undergraduate education and bachelor's degree. Postgraduates should be graduates who have passed the national unified postgraduate entrance examination and obtained full-time postgraduate education.
Age is also an important selection condition. Undergraduate graduates should not be over 26 years old, and graduate students should not be over 29 years old. The age of ethnic minority soldiers serving in the troops stationed in Tibet and ethnic minority areas in more than three kinds of hard and remote areas may be relaxed 1 year.
Promotion direction of college students' soldiers:
1. Become a grassroots commander: Excellent college soldiers can become grassroots commanders through selection, such as platoon leaders and company commanders. They need to have strong organization and coordination ability, leadership ability and military quality, and can lead soldiers to complete various tasks. During their tenure as grass-roots commanders, they can accumulate rich practical experience and lay a solid foundation for future promotion.
2. Promotion to middle-level commander: After serving as a commander at the grass-roots level for a period of time, college students with outstanding performance have the opportunity to be promoted to middle-level commanders, such as battalion commanders and heads. They need to have high military literacy, leadership and strategic vision, and be able to independently command troops to complete complex tasks. In addition, they also need to have certain staff skills and be able to provide useful suggestions for superior leaders.
3. Promotion to senior commanders or professional officers: After serving as intermediate commanders for a period of time, outstanding college students and soldiers have the opportunity to be promoted to senior commanders, such as teachers and commanders. They need to have rich practical experience, superb leadership and strategic vision, and be able to independently lead the troops to complete major military tasks. They also need to have strong innovation ability and can provide beneficial exploration for the development of the army.
