Reception Measures for Off-campus Readers in Peking University Library
1. When off-campus readers come to our library to find information, they must hold (1) their second-generation ID card, (2) their valid documents (work permit or student ID card) or a letter of introduction from the company, and go to the main service desk on the first floor of the east gate of the library to exchange for the Temporary Lending Card of Peking University Library. According to the specified time, you can consult books and periodicals in the reading room and reading area of our library with this card.
2. Off-campus readers must abide by the library's book lending system and pay service fees according to the standard when necessary.
3. Off-campus readers are only allowed to read and copy the required books and periodicals in the library. Please take good care of books and periodicals when reading. If there is any damage, compensation will be required according to the regulations.
4. When writing letters, inquiring books and periodicals, copying materials or asking to answer questions outside the school, you should provide clear and accurate information or clues as much as possible to facilitate the search. Our library will reply according to the retrieval situation, and charge the necessary service fee and copying fee.
5. Anyone who has a cooperative research project with our school and has a senior title and needs to find information in our library can apply for a library card at the card office according to the Measures for the Administration of Library Cards and Reading Cards of Peking University Library.
6. Off-campus readers must abide by the rules and regulations of the library. If there is a violation, depending on the seriousness of the case, according to the relevant provisions. If necessary, the right to borrow books can be suspended or cancelled, and the service fee will not be refunded.
7. When visiting the library, off-campus personnel must contact the curator's office in advance, and only after the consent of the curator's office can they visit the library within the specified time.
