Beijing Jiaotong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. 3. Historical evolution
As one of the three sources of Jiaotong University, Beijing Jiaotong University can be traced back to 1896 at the earliest. Its predecessor was the Institute of Railway Management founded by the Qing government.
