Yangtze University (hereinafter referred to as Changda Yangzijiang University) is a key university in Hubei Province selected by the "National Education Power Project" and "National First-class University Construction University" in Hubei Province, and it is a comprehensive university run by local governments.
By March 2022, the school has two campuses, Jingzhou and Wuhan, covering an area of 5 1 18 mu, with a building area of10.58 million square meters and 3 196 faculty members. There are 24 colleges in the school, with 107 undergraduate majors, among which 6 majors, such as resource exploration engineering, exploration technology and engineering, and agronomy, are national-level specialty, involving 1 1 disciplines such as economics, education and history. At present, there are 3 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 3 first-class discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 38 first-class discipline master degree authorization points, and 9 professional master degree authorization categories/kloc-0.
The history of Yangtze University can be traced back to fourth area Normal School in Hubei Province founded by 1936, Beijing Institute of Petroleum Technology founded by 1950, Shashi Health School in Hubei Province founded by195, and Jingzhou Branch of Huazhong Agricultural College founded by 1977. In April 2003, the former Jianghan Petroleum Institute, Hubei Agricultural College, Jingzhou Normal College and Hubei Medical College of Health Workers merged to form Yangtze University.
By the end of 2022, Yangtze University ranked 174 in China University of Soft Science in 2022.
