China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform Project", and a world-class discipline construction university. It is the first batch of strategic alliance universities of industrial technology innovation in China, and also a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the former state administration of work safety.

There are 33 undergraduate enrollment majors in the school, including 8 first-class doctoral programs 18, 33 first-class master programs, 9 master degree authorization programs 19, and 6 postdoctoral research stations 16.

First-class disciplines 1, 8 national key disciplines in two disciplines, and national key cultivation disciplines1; Mining engineering, safety science and engineering are the national "double-class" construction disciplines, and urban engineering geophysics and urban underground space engineering are selected into the list of high-tech disciplines in Beijing universities.
