After the evaluation in 2009, the Academic Committee of the Laboratory was adjusted. In order to further strengthen the close combination of basic theoretical research results and experimental research in the laboratory, three academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Jiang Lei, Zhao Dongyuan and Zou Guangtian) who are mainly engaged in experimental research were hired as members of the academic committee of the laboratory. This academic committee is composed of 17 famous experts at home and abroad, including 8 academicians of China Academy of Sciences, with Li Lemin of Peking University as the director, Sun Jiazhong of Jilin University and Jiang Lei of Beihang University as the deputy directors.

At present, the laboratory has 48 fixed researchers (30 under 40 years old), including professor 19 (academician 1 person, 2 winners of outstanding youth fund, 5 outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century, doctoral supervisor 19), associate professor 14 and 8 lecturers. There are seven technicians. The current director of the laboratory is a professor, and the deputy directors are Professor Ding and Professor Zheng Qing Chuan.
