How many years is it appropriate to be a soldier?
Retired from active service after 30 years of active service or 55 years of age.

The service life of conscripts is two years, and non-commissioned officers who are not selected in the second year must be discharged. After selecting a non-commissioned officer, you will be promoted to a higher-level non-commissioned officer according to your performance or the needs of the army until you retire.

Volunteers should serve in active service by stages. The term of active service for volunteers shall be at least three years, generally not more than 30 years, and not more than 55 years old at most, starting from the day when they become volunteers.

Generally speaking, it is best to analyze the specific situation in a few years as a soldier. At least these aspects need to be considered comprehensively, that is, a person's physical fitness, age, family situation, education, and post establishment of the army. For example, when your physical fitness can't keep up with the training of the army, retiring after the expiration of service is the best choice. After all, health is the capital of revolution.

First, it is better to be a soldier for two years: college students or people who just want to do their duty.

1, for college students, it is an ideal choice to leave the army and go back to school to continue their studies after being a soldier for two years and not being admitted to a military school.

First of all, you can apply to the school to change your major, and you can transfer to your interested major or the "hot major" of the school. After you master the professional knowledge, your college graduation employment will be more secure.

Secondly, you can get a college diploma only after you leave the army and return to school. After getting a college diploma, there is policy support, whether it is to continue to upgrade academic qualifications or to take an examination of institutions and civil servants.

Finally, if you choose to stay in the army and transfer to a non-commissioned officer, the highest education is high school. Because there is no university degree, there will be restrictions on the promotion space in the army.

When you just want to do your duty, it is just right to be a conscript for two years. After two years of training in the army, the ability in all aspects has also been improved. After two years, I returned from the army at a young age, and there are still many opportunities for development.

Second, it is better to be a soldier for five years: get a college diploma and serve in the army for five years, and the retirement age is not too old. After serving in the army for five years, I will basically be the backbone for two to three years. During my tenure as the backbone, my management ability, coordination ability, organization ability, communication ability and sense of responsibility will be improved qualitatively. It can be said that after five years as a soldier, the "military flavor" is still quite sufficient.

Third, when is a soldier with 12 years better? First, he has served 12 years, and his age is basically around 3 1 year, most of whom are old and young. Soldiers who have served 12 years have already saved considerable income just by their salary. The most important thing is to meet the resettlement conditions after serving 12 years. At that time, you can jump ship and go back to the local development, and you don't have to worry about employment.

Fourth, don't retire in the eighth year: the main reason is that there are many disadvantages in the eighth year. Soldiers are basically 27 years old and are facing the dilemma of getting married and starting a career. Moreover, when they came back from the army, they still did not meet the resettlement conditions. The employment problem needs to be solved by ourselves, and everything needs to be started from scratch, because in the military major, it is basically useless to go back to the local area. In addition, most of them retired from high school, and the employment problem is still outstanding.

What needs to be understood is that being in the army does not mean that you can serve as long as you want. Generally speaking, the service time is 2 years, 5 years, 8 years, 12 years, 16 years and above. At the end of each stage of service, strict promotion assessment is required, and the assessment items generally include: theoretical assessment, physical assessment, professional skills and military skills assessment.

Only when all the assessment items pass the test and rank among the best can we advance to the next stage.

Generally speaking, the longer you serve in the army, the higher your salary. It is best to serve for 2 years, 5 years, 12 years or more, while choosing to be a soldier for 8 years will do more harm than good. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to continue to promote it to Staff Sergeant II. Service 12 years, 4 years longer than that of an 8-year-old soldier. During these four years, in addition to the relatively high monthly salary, you can also enjoy the resettlement policy after the expiration of service, without worrying about future employment problems.
