The Historical Evolution of the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University
1945 after War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, the Kuomintang government decided to establish five central hospitals throughout the country. After one year's preparation, Tianjin Central Hospital officially opened on 1946 12 15, and began to treat inpatients on 12 15, and was named "Tianjin Central Hospital of the Ministry of Health". 1950 In April, the Central Hospital was renamed as Tianjin General Hospital. 1956 was renamed as the Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin Medical College. /kloc-0 changed its name to the general hospital of Tianjin medical university in August, 1994. 1993 was rated as a third-class first-class hospital, 1998 was rated as "Top 100 Hospitals" in China, 200/kloc-0 was rated as Tianjin Western Medicine Center by Tianjin Municipal Government, and in 2009 it was rated as a national model hospital for the people.
