The school adheres to the combination of serving local economic construction and industry development, and actively promotes the integration of politics and Industry-University-Research. Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", we have continuously carried out research on the national grain security strategy and major issues of grain circulation, undertaken a number of major research topics on the development of the national grain industry, published a number of special research reports such as the China Grain Development Report and the Yangtze River Delta Grain Development Report, and developed a number of new, efficient and rapid technologies, methods and products for grain and oil quality inspection and safety evaluation. A number of insightful achievements have been made in the aspects of grain circulation system, mechanism innovation and enterprise management innovation, which have played a guiding role in real economic activities. A number of research results on food security policies, such as modernization index and evaluation system of grain circulation, have been adopted and applied by government departments. Focusing on the great practical needs of developing modern service industry in Jiangsu Province, we will vigorously strengthen theoretical research, applied research and development, achievement popularization and policy consultation of modern service industry. Introduce, incubate and cultivate more than 30 modern service enterprises, undertake more than 200 research topics, and write more than 30 special research reports such as Jiangsu Service Industry Development Report. Many consultation reports have been instructed by the main leaders of the provincial party Committee, and the research results have become an important reference for government decision-making and enterprise management. Modern service industry science park has passed the evaluation and acceptance of provincial university science park. The "Nanjing Metropolitan Area Development Forum" is held once a year, which has made important contributions to promoting the integration and modernization of Nanjing Metropolitan Area.
