Hebei University of Engineering is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by the People's Government of Hebei Province to train high-level talents. It is jointly built by the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Water Resources. It is also a second-level college and a key university in Hebei Province under the construction of a national first-class university.

Basic situation of Hebei University of Engineering
Hebei University of Engineering, located in Handan City, Hebei Province, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by the people's government of Hebei Province to train high-level talents. It was established by the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Water Resources. It is the first batch of pilot schools built by second-class universities in Hebei province, key universities in Hebei province and emergency management college, and a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
The school's predecessor was Hebei Institute of Engineering, which was formed by the merger of Hebei Institute of Architecture and Technology (including Handan Branch of North China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower, which was merged on April 5, 2002), Handan Medical College (founded on 195 1) and Handan Agricultural College (founded on 1975) on April 6, 2003.
