They are yenching university, cheeloo university, Soochow University, St. John's University, Zhijiang University, West China United University, Huazhong University, Jinling University, Fujian Christian University, South China Women's College of Arts and Sciences, Jinling Women's College of Arts and Sciences, Hujiang University and Lingnan University.

These universities directly introduced the modern western education model, which played an important role in demonstrating and guiding China's educational modernization, trained a large number of intellectual elites for China, had a far-reaching impact on education and society, and made indelible contributions to China's higher education.

However, it is a great pity that these missionary universities gradually merged into other universities in the great adjustment of colleges and universities in 1952, and their names became a page in the memory of the times and history.
