King's College London (KCL for short) is a public research university located in London, England. King's College London was founded by George IV and Prime Minister Arthur Wellesley on the Thames in 1829. He is a member of the founding college of London University and Russell University Group, and is known as the "Golden Triangle Famous School".
By 2020, the school has trained 16 Nobel Prize winners, 1 Turing Prize winners and 2 Lasker Medical Research Prize winners. Due to its history, the school is still funded by the British royal family, and the patron is Queen Elizabeth II.
In 20021-22, King's College London ranked 33rd in News World University, 37th in QS World University, 35th in Times Higher Education World University and 40th in CWUR World University.

Maughan Library is the main library of King's College, located in Chancery Lane, only 5 minutes' walk from strand Campus. The library's collection covers American studies, Australian studies, Byzantine and contemporary Greece, classic literature, culture and creative industries.
Digital culture and technology, English, European studies, film studies, French, geography, German, history, linguistics, music, philosophy, Portuguese and Brazilian studies, Spanish and American Spanish studies, theological and religious studies, war studies, law, medical ethics, computer science, engineering, design, mathematics and physics.
Each teaching college of King's College London has its own library, which can meet the reading needs of students to the greatest extent. The library has a collection of 800,000 volumes, as well as about 2,500 periodical publications, various important monographs, electronic information and audio-visual materials.
The books in the library are computerized, so students can easily search the books on the whole campus, and also find important online book resources and book information resources. The computer center of King's College can provide all students with networked computers and database facilities, as well as computer consultation and help.
Guy's campus has two libraries, one in the New Hunter Building and the other in the Hodgkin Building, which are open 24 hours a day.
