Introduction to Shixin University:

Shixin University was founded by the founder Mr. Cheng Shewo on 1956. In line with "to implement democratic politics, we must first do a good job in journalism;" 1In the autumn of 956, the World Journalism Vocational School was established in Muzhagouzikou, Taipei, aiming at cultivating journalists with "both morality and intelligence and both hands and brains". 1960, after the school began to take shape, it was restructured into "World Journalism College".

1August, 1980, with the approval of the education authorities, it was restructured into "World School of Journalism and Communication", with Mr. Ye Mingxun as the chairman and Dr. Cheng Jialing as the first dean after the restructuring. Thanks to the joint efforts of all teachers and students, Shixin won recognition from all walks of life for its outstanding school performance, and was renamed Shixin University again on August 1986. Since 1994, it has been selected as an "excellent teaching" university by the education authorities for nine consecutive years.

At the beginning of Shixin's self-run school, it took "moral, intellectual and physical training, using both hands and brains" as its school purpose, and trained professionals who paid equal attention to morality and wisdom and combined theory with practice. From training "journalists", it has gradually developed into a "all-communication" institution of higher learning, and then steadily grown into an "all-round" comprehensive university, and has continued this concept. In addition to continuing to train more outstanding senior communication talents for the country, it has also trained various professionals with specialization and macro-thinking in a broader learning space and academic field.
