The first article I want to write is about my life as a student cadre officer in my freshman and sophomore year, that is, the student union and so on. From my freshman year to the beginning of last semester, I was not idle for a moment, and I felt something.
When I first entered school, I went to two universities, but I got a batch of undergraduate courses in the first two years, at most in a second-rate and last-rate city. When I first came in, I was full of vigor and vitality, and I wanted to try everything, especially my elders and class helpers, who kept playing drums, saying that we must choose class cadres, join the student union and join the party to improve our horizons and abilities. So when I was a freshman, I began to drill around with this fiery brain. I didn't think about the future, so I think it is good for me to choose these cadres.
At the beginning, I participated in the selection of class cadres. Don't say that our freshman class teacher is really fair. I just came in. I don't know him very well. In order to avoid unfair voting, an interview system was implemented. Hand in an application form first, and then go to another room of the teaching building for an interview one by one. This is my first college interview, or the first formal interview in my life. Naturally, I was nervous, but I didn't have stage fright, so I answered all the questions raised by the head teacher. But what I won't forget is that I exaggerated my words and even invented something I didn't have in order to be elected. After that, I reflected. In fact, I will get used to lying to others when my interests are touched. I don't know what will happen to others, but fortunately it didn't cause too much waves. But there is a sense of guilt and shame, which has crept into my mind. Since then, I have always felt this guilt, and the subsequent interviews are also based on facts.
Not long after the results came out, I was elected-propaganda Committee member, a modest position, is to take pictures of class activities, write something, collect screenshots and so on. But I can say that I have tried my best. You know, in a university, there are many kinds of activities, and the enthusiasm of the students in the class is inversely proportional to it (especially the number of girls in our major is four times that of boys), so most of the activities are organized by the class Committee in advance, and they were very busy before. As a propaganda committee member, I have played skits, cut videos and written plans, and have been deeply poisoned by various activity class meetings. Being a class cadre in a university gives me a feeling of sharing weal and woe. I will have to urge my classmates to hand in all kinds of materials and stand up awkwardly to enliven the atmosphere during the silence of class activities. But at the same time, in a class that can no longer be separated, I can be familiar with everyone's names and faces because I am a class cadre, not to mention using them, which gives me a sense of pride; I also became friends with my classmates who are also class cadres. It's not easy to have friends in college, well, friends. My ability is good, and the class cadres have given me limited experience, so I won't say much.
In fact, I went to see an interview organized by an "editorial group" in the college shortly after I selected the class cadres, and this interview just started my hard journey as an officer. This interview was encouraged by the help class (before military training, the college will ask us to write about our military training experience every day, so we recommend it because it is ok). Because it is a subordinate institution of the student union in the college, the interviewer is a senior and a senior, which is more formal and nervous than last time. But I may be able to have a sharp increase in confidence in the interview, and my answer is not bad, so I was selected. This institution generally takes photos and writes manuscripts for some college activities and conferences. I can't say I love it, but I did learn something and got a lot of comprehensive tests from it.
Then I have to mention the university community. From my own experience, if you are not really interested, don't choose the club director, because if you are ignorant, there will be too many. When I was a freshman, I went to choose a club officer, such as environmental protection. The interview was very casual. As long as you went, you were selected. After that, there will be a regular meeting every week. In addition to the tasks of the department where the club is located, it will take up a lot of time for you to be busy with various activities. I find that I really don't like it at all. So I took a leave of absence from the club meeting later, and I resolutely refused to participate in the change. But I can't generalize. After all, I belong to an ordinary club in Shuangfei School. In short, I will describe my club work experience with more input and less return, especially if you are not interested in this club. So I don't think it's necessary to join the club. It is better to spend time studying or doing something you like. I have to think clearly about everything, which is my greatest feeling, because once I get stuck in it, it is difficult to get rid of it.
Let's talk about the "editorial team". In fact, I am still very happy in this group, at least in the first semester of my freshman year. Its task mechanism is as follows: once the college holds an important activity or meeting, the senior sister in charge of managing our propaganda department will inform us in the group and let us take the initiative to undertake the task. During my freshman year, I went back and forth thirty or forty times. I have worked with different people and seen different occasions. Because this organization doesn't give many tasks, and the sisters are really good, I will appreciate this experience. During this period, my ability to write manuscripts has really improved, such as WeChat manuscripts and newsletters. At first, every time I saw my name under the official account of WeChat and the official website of the college, I felt very excited and proud.
But in fact, it is not easy to perform these tasks, especially when you are a novice. You should go to the activity place in advance, especially when some activities start early (such as flag-raising ceremony); Or for a long time, I will sit in the back row and always remember the process to write a manuscript. In the meantime, I'm going to walk around and take pictures. It's always strange to walk around a quiet conference room alone. After the activity, we should discuss and write a manuscript with the students who went on a mission together. You know, it is very difficult to get used to people you just met. Once there was even a quarrel, it took time to prepare at first. Sometimes afternoon tasks are not written at eleven o'clock in the evening. But fortunately, practice makes perfect, and time will teach you anything you feel uncomfortable and difficult, as long as you have the heart.
Suck, I'm going to start describing my very successful experience. At the beginning of the freshman semester, the credits of university clubs will begin to change, which is often referred to as the student union. I didn't intend to go at first. I have never been a bold person. Until the senior of the propaganda department came to talk to me privately, and the senior was very powerful. She said that although she was in the student union, she actually had enough time to do other things, because she passed CET-4 and CET-6 and her grades were not low. This suddenly poked my last concern and finally promised her to stand for election. Then, no then, I can only say that I have been tired for a long time on the road that does not belong to me.
The assessment of the Youth League Affairs Officer is divided into one round of written examination and two rounds of interview, which is more formal than what I have experienced before. what can I say? You just have to take it seriously, show enough confidence, and don't be afraid that opportunities won't turn you into. After officially becoming the director of the propaganda department of the college, I gradually got acquainted with the people in the department. Two ministers in our department are senior students, plus five directors, including me. A * * * seven people, why so many people, because there are many things! It can be said that since the day I joined the propaganda department, I have never been free for a moment. It is common to work overtime and change the manuscript to one or two in the middle of the night. I also created a brilliant experience of rewriting three or four manuscripts a day.
About three nodes have been intensively bombed. First, during the preparation of the graduate party, the Propaganda Department was responsible for making all the work about the decoration of the party, so almost all my evening self-study in May that year was for decoration. On the day of graduation party, I got up early in the morning to decorate the venue. Until the party started, I was so tired that people in the department didn't want to talk. I can't remember how many balloons I inflated that day. At the beginning of the party, we should still keep taking pictures, recording the performance characteristics of the program and writing. I can't remember how late I went to bed that day. Anyway, it wasn't early. There was a girl in the department who probably cried because of a series of fatigue and depression. In retrospect, it's really hard. At least the success of the party that day made me feel a little gratified, but that's all. For the first time, I deeply understood the situation of the people behind the scenes, but who knows except ourselves?
The second is the end of the freshman semester, which is after the graduation party. Yes, any disaster has its consequences. People in other departments have no tasks. While the students are preparing for the final exam, our propaganda department is still working hard for various meetings and activities of the college. What's more, all the members of the editorial board should be in charge of these things, but you know, once the term of office is about to expire and come to an end, no one has the enthusiasm, and all the tasks are on the members of the Propaganda Department (I notice here that the editorial board is actually a subordinate institution of the Propaganda Department of the College and belongs to its management, so I am a member of two institutions at this time). From the university to the final summary period, there are a lot of meetings. What is uncomfortable is that the basic task is the three people in charge of manuscript management in our propaganda department. From taking photos and writing to typesetting the official WeChat account, plus the final review, the pressure is self-evident. I am in a meeting now. At that time, I complained to people around me that it was commonplace for departments to do things. They always give me a sentence, who told you to choose?
The third is the sophomore year, the welcome period. Our department first prepared slogans, banners, signboards and so on. The printing shop that cooperates with the college is in the north campus of the school, and our teaching building is in the south campus, separated by dozens of kilometers. I don't know how many times there were on the day of welcoming new students. Anyway, I took the bus when I met the scooter, and I didn't walk. My foot was basically useless that day. What impressed me most was that the teacher in charge of welcoming the new students asked me to temporarily print two slogans. I rushed to the graphic shop to bring it back to her, but it was useless. I didn't mean to blame the teacher. She was very busy that day, but I think the director's feelings should always be taken into account. Of course I have to complain.
In fact, I have experienced this feeling many times. During this time in the student union, most teachers will trouble students to do a lot of things for their own convenience, and of course most of them are students of the student union. So you should actually consider whether to join, especially in important departments, there will be many things waiting for you. And once you get familiar with the teacher, there will be more trouble. After all, the teacher will always find someone with a name to help him do things, which is useless to you. Of course, I have a lot of such experiences, so I won't go into details. But it's not bad, because you are familiar with it, which is helpful for your evaluation. I don't agree that being awarded as a cadre officer is unfair. In universities, being a student cadre is a plus item, and teachers naturally prefer students who can hold positions at the same time.
On the other hand, it is a military training activity for freshmen who welcome the new year soon, and they can still get busy. Military training requires freshmen to write an article every day, submit it for screening and post it to the official WeChat account of the college, which is naturally a matter for our propaganda department. People in my department and I arrive at the military training ground on time at 7 o'clock every day, sitting cross-legged on the grass, screening manuscripts, and then typing excellent manuscripts into electronic files (which will help others) to collect and send them. This lasted for more than a week until the end of military training. Not only that, we have to make a separate push and other reports for the military training of freshmen. At the beginning of the new semester, others are cultivating themselves and absorbing the essence of heaven and earth. I am like an unpaid office worker, doing a boring job. By the way, half a month after the start of the new semester of sophomore year is the day of sophomore year (National Computer Level 2 Examination). I didn't have time to brush the questions, so of course I hung up.
After my sophomore year, I stayed in the student union for a whole semester. The task is not as heavy as before, but it also affects my life from time to time. Because a new editorial team was recruited, the task was naturally given to them. I probably just did some editing and guiding work. At this time, I also clearly found that I was not suitable to be a coordinator, and I didn't do well in managing the editorial team, and my mentality changed from then on. In short, this semester is much more dull than before, and I gradually understand what is suitable for me and what is worth paying.
The second semester of senior high school, soon after the start of school, is the time for the league to change. In fact, I made it clear that I didn't want to stay, but I think it was because a lot of work in the previous department left a shadow on us, which led to no one in our department wanting to stay on the eve of the transition. First, the teacher pulled us to talk and said a lot to keep us. Now I am quite firm. I answered with the excuse that I want to study hard, and the teacher couldn't go on saying anything. Let me think about it. Later, the two ministers also found me alone and repeatedly advised me to stay. In fact, I had promised them at that time (I really appreciated the two senior sisters, whose conscientious and responsible work taught me a lot), but later I heard that someone was willing to stay, so I naturally told my senior sister that I would not run for re-election. Then, from this moment on, I feel that all the stagnation in my heart has dissipated, and I really realized what is suitable for my growth. I have no regrets, but more relief and a little worry about the future.
Looking back on my year in the Propaganda Department, I took countless photos and wrote many manuscripts, saying that it was impossible without income. At least I know how to write a press release and take photos of the meeting. I don't know if these will be useful to me in the future (I'm not a journalism major myself), but my patience has been honed enough. However, I will often complain about this job during my tenure. Of course, this has something to do with its huge workload, but another friend of mine who has the same situation and feelings said to me, "The reason why we feel tired and don't like this job is actually because we have been doing it to complete the task, not to learn anything." Actually, that's quite right. You can see that I used words like bitter and depressing to describe my student union life before, because I have no purpose. In the new year, I will only copy the work of the department according to the previous template. I have no initiative. How can I enjoy it? There are some people around me who work for the purpose of learning. Now that I think about it, they can get more things than me.
In any case, whether you want to be an official or not depends entirely on yourself. If you want to concentrate on your studies, there is absolutely no problem. All the seniors and sisters who came over told me that I should always look at my grades and certificates before going out. If you want to exercise your eloquence or communication skills, you can join a debate team and an English speaking class, which will give you more practical oral practice than being a student cadre. The prerequisite for evaluating scholarships and joining the party is achievement. Many people lack the experience of cadres and get these opportunities. Practice tells me to study hard. Of course, you have held some positions, and good grades are the most advantageous. Actually, being a class cadre is quite good.
I still serve as the class propaganda Committee member. In fact, after I became arrogant, there was no substantive work in my post, and I didn't want to do anything else. In this way, it is good to spend time studying and playing with friends occasionally, and I am also at ease. I will recall my busy life as a student union officer. At least I got most of my honorary certificates on it. I also have some outstanding student cadres and outstanding volunteers at the school level. At least I spent so much time getting the chip, but it didn't work that well. At least I can make myself secretly glad.
In short, when you make a decision, especially when you want to join an organization, you must think clearly, including your interests, future, purpose and so on. Then don't regret and complain after making a decision. Remember to be enterprising in your study, or you will feel uncomfortable every day like me.
That's it. The rest of the college time, study hard and don't do anything you regret.
