1, different entry thresholds
The Open University does not impose too many restrictions on students' age, occupation, region and education. Anyone who has a learning ambition and a certain cultural foundation can apply for admission without taking the entrance examination.
Correspondence has a unified national entrance examination, which is similar to the general college entrance examination. Candidates need to be fully prepared before the exam to pass the exam smoothly, so the quality of students who can pass the exam is also relatively high.
2. Different learning styles
Correspondence teaching focuses on planned, organized and guided self-study and organizes systematic centralized face-to-face teaching. The main links of correspondence teaching are counseling and answering questions, homework, experiment, practice, examination, course design, graduation design and defense.
Three centralized face-to-face lectures about 10 days are arranged every year, and face-to-face lectures are generally conducted in winter and summer vacations.
The National Open University has two teaching methods:
First of all, online teaching is conducted through the network. Students can browse the recess through the internet, finish their homework and ask questions and communicate through BBS.
The second is to concentrate on face-to-face teaching. Many international students who want to enter their favorite universities can complete their studies by applying for online colleges and receiving distance teaching.
3. Different main options
There are not many open universities in China, so the majors offered are limited, and the range that candidates can choose is relatively narrow. There are a large number of correspondence universities in China, and there are also many well-known colleges and universities, which offer many popular majors for candidates, and candidates can choose a wide range of majors.
