First of all, the food in the canteen of Shanda Central Campus is quite good. Known as the largest canteen in Asia. There are all kinds of snacks such as halal food and vegetarian food. Outsiders can also go in and eat. You don't need a meal card, just buy a meal ticket in cash temporarily. Restaurants on all floors have such temporary counters. I feel that the food here is much better than outside.
Of course, you can also eat out. The north gate is Shanda North Road, and there is a wonton directly opposite the north gate. It tastes good. It is a national chain store with good hygiene and taste in all aspects. There are several small shops to the east of the north gate, such as ribs rice and Xi 'an Baijimo, which can be changed. Go east to the intersection of Hongjialou West Road and turn north. This road is also quite good. There is also a unified Ginza supermarket chain community store, which is very convenient to buy things. You don't have to go to RT Mart in the Red Chamber. Walk 200 meters to the north, and you will find the famous Chen family mutton broth. The taste is quite authentic, which can be said to be the best whole lamb soup in Jinan, occasionally. You can look at this road, and there are many other snacks. When you come here to eat, it's best not to eat at the meal, or you will be full.
Of course, you can also go east along Shanda North Road until it meets Hongjialou South Road. You will see a small steamed stuffed bun shop on the north side of the road. Business is quite prosperous. This shop has existed since the 1990s. I often eat it. It's really good. There are all kinds of steamed buns, including porridge and pickles. I have never met a steamed stuffed bun shop that has been in operation for so long in Jinan. Residents nearby come to eat a lot every day, so I came.
In addition, if you go out from the west gate of Shanda, it is Shanda Road, and there are also some restaurants there, which are quite affordable. If you have time, you might as well go shopping and find a small shop that suits you. I used to go there for breakfast.
After the evening self-study, usually at eight or nine o'clock, there are many snacks near the north gate of Shanda, such as mala Tang, pancakes and eggs. Sometimes, when you are hungry at night, you will come out for supper.
