Adhering to the spirit of "foresight and openness" and conforming to the development trend of the times, Henan University established the first comprehensive international education center in Henan Province on the occasion of its 90th birthday in March 2002. On August 29th, 2003, the organizational system of the center was changed to a college, and the College of International Education of Henan University was formally established. The college is located in Minglun Street, Kaifeng City, Henan Province, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment.
Other Chinese-foreign cooperative universities:
With the development of higher education, Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in Henan University has been deepening. The successful running practice of the Institute of International Education has enabled them to gradually master the international advanced educational concepts and improve their running level. The Institute of International Education, Eurasian International College and International Sinology College have all been merged into the newly-built international college. This high-level and large-scale form of international education cooperation has opened a new chapter in the internationalization development of Henan University, a century-old prestigious school.
School features:
It is the school's goal to establish high-quality international education by using high-quality educational resources at home and abroad and drawing lessons from international advanced educational concepts. The college has always followed the school-running philosophy of "combining Chinese and western, educating people-oriented, quality first and service first". Under the principle of science and system, according to the basic characteristics of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and the development needs of students, a set of training scheme is formulated, which integrates Chinese and western cultures, gives consideration to both internal and external aspects, lays a solid foundation and attaches importance to application, so that students can gain their place through learning.
Take the China-Australia project as an example. After studying in the Institute of International Education for two years, students can choose to study in a foreign cooperative university, study abroad for two years, and obtain a diploma from a foreign university. You can also choose to study in China for 4 years and apply for a master's degree abroad directly after graduation. Because the students of the Institute of International Education have the dual advantages of specialty and foreign language, the success rate of applying for postgraduate study abroad is relatively high. When students who don't go abroad are admitted to domestic graduate students or directly employed, the comparative advantage created by the training characteristics of the project is very obvious.
