2. Introduction of North China Electric Power University (Baoding)
North China Electric Power University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and also a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Platform". In 20 17, the school entered the ranks of national "double first-class" universities, focusing on the discipline construction of energy and electric power science and engineering, and started a new journey of building a world-class discipline and a high-level research university.
School 1958 was founded in Beijing, formerly known as Beijing Electric Power Institute. The school has long been managed by the state electric power department. In 2003, the school was handed over to the Ministry of Education for management. At present, it is composed of State Grid Corporation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, China Huaneng Group Corporation, China Datang Corporation, china huadian corporation, National Energy Investment Corporation, China Three Gorges Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Corporation, China Electric Power Construction Corporation, China Energy Construction Corporation, Guangdong Yuedian Corporation, China Electric Power Enterprise Federation and other 12 super-large power groups. The school is headquartered in Beijing, with Baoding campus, and the two places implement integrated management. The school has nearly 3,000 faculty members, more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates and nearly 1 0,000 graduate students. The school covers an area of 1.600 mu, and the building area is 1 10,000 square meters.
The school has eleven colleges, including School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Energy Power and Mechanical Engineering, School of Control and Computer Engineering, school of economics and management, School of Environmental Science and Engineering, School of Renewable Energy, School of Nuclear Science and Engineering, School of Mathematics and Science, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Foreign Languages and School of Marxism, and 59 undergraduate majors. It has two national key disciplines and 25 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, namely "Power System and Automation" and "Thermal Engineering". In the fourth round of discipline evaluation, electrical engineering, power engineering and engineering thermophysics were ranked in file A and file A respectively; Engineering, environment/ecology, materials science and chemistry rank in the top 65,438+0 ‰ in the ESI world, among which engineering ranks in the top 65,438+0 ‰. It has five post-doctoral research stations, seven first-level discipline authorization points for doctoral degrees, 23 first-level discipline authorization points for master's degrees and nine professional degree authorization categories such as master of engineering, master of business administration and master of public administration, forming a complete education system for cultivating undergraduates, masters and doctors.
