Brief Introduction of Jilin Jianzhu University Jilin Jianzhu University is an ordinary institution of higher learning which focuses on engineering, features civil architecture, and is supported and coordinated by science, engineering, literature, management, law, art and economics. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Jilin Province and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the first batch of 100 demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and a training base for senior professionals in the field of urban and rural capital construction in Jilin Province.
Founded in 1956, the school is one of the first ten architectural schools in New China. 1960 with the approval of the State Council, the school was named Jilin Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture and started to hold undergraduate education. 1997 passed the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching work of the former State Education Commission. In 2003, the school became an authorized unit for master's degree. In 2008, he was evaluated by the Ministry of Education and got "excellent" results. 20 10 School moved from the old campus of Hongqi Street to the new campus of Jingyue. 20 13 was renamed Jilin Jianzhu University. 20 15 passed the examination and evaluation of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education. The school is located in the national high-tech industrial development zone-Changchun Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone. There are 52 undergraduate majors in the school, and the discipline chain, specialty chain and industrial chain in the construction field are deeply integrated, and a number of advantageous majors (groups) serving the development of regional and construction industries have been built. Five majors, such as safety engineering, civil engineering, surveying and mapping engineering, environmental engineering, water supply and drainage science and engineering, took the lead in passing the engineering education certification, achieving international substantive equivalence and entering the "first phalanx" of global engineering education. Six civil engineering majors, including architecture (undergraduate major), civil engineering, building environment and energy application engineering, water supply and drainage science and engineering, engineering management and urban and rural planning, have passed the national civil engineering professional education evaluation.
