Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine was founded by People's Republic of China (PRC), China Ministry of Education, China National Health and Wellness Committee and Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It was included in the "2 1 1 Project" and the "985 Project" and was selected as the first batch of pilot universities in the excellent doctoral education and training program of the Ministry of Education.
