The school has two campuses, Chenggong and Donglu:
Chenggong Campus: Southeast Outer Ring Road of University Town, Chenggong District, Kunming, Yunnan Province.
Donglu Campus: No.2 Cuihu North Road, Wuhua District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province.
There are many scenic spots worth visiting around Yunnan University, such as Cuihu Park, the former site of National Southwest Associated University, the former site of Yunnan Military Academy, Yuantong Temple, Xishan Mountain, Dianchi Lake, Qipanshan National Forest Park, Yunnan Ethnic Village, Jiuxiang Cave and Dongchuan Red Land.
There are also many delicious snacks around Yunnan University, such as crossing the bridge rice noodles, cold chicken rice noodles, cold rice noodles, Yiliang roast duck, various mushroom pots, steamed chicken, flower cakes, Chenggong stinky tofu and so on.
