Barrington University
Barrington Moore (19 13-) is a famous American historian, sociologist and comparative political scientist. Born in Washington. At university, I studied at William College and Yale University. After graduation, he taught at the University of Chicago and Harvard University successively, and engaged in research work at the Russian Research Center of Harvard University. He has published Politics of the Soviet Union (1950), Political Power and Social Theory (anthology, 1958), Social Origin of Democracy and Autocracy (1966) and Reflection on the Origin of Human Suffering (1972). He founded the barrington Moorish School, including Charles Tilly, Downing, Scarchpotch and samuel huntington.
