TFS Band 4, that is, Band 4 for French majors, is similar to the TEM-4 of the University, and it is a national examination to test the French level of French majors in universities. Since 2004, the exam has been held in late May every year, and now it has been conducted 12 times. Generally, the examination takes the form of school collective registration, which is aimed at sophomores majoring in French and seniors who need to make up the exam (usually only one chance to make up the exam). Generally, foreign students and social candidates are not allowed to take the exam.
After three years of exploration since the first exam in 2004, the types of questions have been basically fixed since 2007, including dictation and listening, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension and writing. Sophomore French majors require all-round cultivation of French ability from four aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition to the oral test, the actual operation is still difficult. Listening, speaking and reading are the key points of the CET-4.
