The Historical Evolution of College of Literature of Henan University
China Literature Department, the predecessor of College of Literature, was founded in 1923, which is one of the earlier departments of Henan University. 1930 the school established the Faculty of Literature, and changed the Department of China Literature to the Department of China Literature, which belongs to the Faculty of Literature. 1942 The Department of Literature and History of China merged to form the Department of Literature and History. 1949 the institute of culture and education was established, and the department of literature and history was changed to the department of China literature. Renamed from 1952 to China Literature Department. 1996165438+10, the school decided to cancel the Chinese department and set up a college of literature. The New College of Literature consists of China Language and Literature Department, Journalism and Communication Department and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language Center. In April, 2002, the school assigned the discipline of journalism and communication in the College of Liberal Arts to the newly established School of Journalism and Communication. Based on the Center for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, the Institute of International Education should be established. Over the past decades, the College of Literature has hired famous scholars at home and abroad, such as Duan, Gao Ting, Xiao Yishan, Miao Yue, Sui, Ji, Zhu Fangpu, Zhang Changgong, Wan Man, Sun Zuoyun, Ren Fangqi, Yu An Lan, Hua Zhongyan and Gao Wen, to teach here, and has trained more than 10,000 students, including many students at school.
