By the end of 2024, Indian Institute of Technology ranked 177 in the world university rankings. It is seven independent engineering and technical colleges built and composed by the Indian government, and is known as the "pearl in the crown of science" in India. These colleges are based on MIT, and there are some affiliated middle schools.
