From the development history, Zhoukou Vocational College of Science and Technology was founded in 198 1. Originally, it was Haiyan Vocational Secondary School in Zhoukou City, and it was not until 2008 that it was upgraded to Zhoukou Vocational College of Science and Technology. In 20 18, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become the first batch of pilot universities for undergraduate vocational education in China, and in 20 19, it was approved to be renamed as "Henan Vocational College of Science and Technology".
