1975 when entering the school, this year, the headquarters, together with the rural branch school, Mianyang branch school in Sichuan and Sanmenxia base of the Water Resources Department, enrolled more than 3,600 students. Among them, there are nearly 2,700 school headquarters, 358 Mianyang branch schools and 545 farm branch schools.

There are 1 1 departments in our school this year, including precision instrument department, department of engineering physics department, machinery manufacturing department, automation department, power engineering department, chemical engineering department, engineering mechanics department, construction engineering department, water conservancy engineering department, electronic engineering department and radio department (Mianyang Branch).
The school has 3624 teachers and 5000 employees. Workers, peasants and soldiers have graduated 2800 people, and there are more than 4000 people in two grades.
1976
On August 8th, 65438 10, Premier Zhou Enlai passed away. On the 9 th, the news of his death came on the radio, and people all over the country spontaneously carried out various deep mourning activities.
On April 1 day, 67 students from three departments of electric power, water conservancy and construction engineering of our school set off for Tibet to run a school.
On May 8th, our school held the 19 track and field sports meeting, which was attended by more than 900 students of workers, peasants and soldiers and 100 teachers and athletes. The automatic Chinese department won the first place in the total score of men and women.
On May 22-23, in the Beijing University 15 Track and Field Games, our school won the first place in the team total score and the first place in the men's team total score.
From July 28th to September, after the strong earthquake in Tangshan, students from electronic department, precision instrument department, mechanical department, automation department and basic foreign language class went to Tangshan to participate in earthquake relief. The whole school began to resist earthquakes and quakes. The water conservancy department formed an earthquake rescue team and went to Miyun Reservoir a few hours after the earthquake.

On April 29th, Liu Da, Huang Guang, Link and others were appointed by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee through the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. On the morning of April 4th, at the enlarged meeting of the school party committee, the leader of the municipal party committee Xu announced that the Beijing Municipal Committee had decided to appoint Comrade Liu Da as the party secretary of Tsinghua University.
On September 8th, our school held a conference in the auditorium to commemorate the first anniversary of Mao Zedong's death.
1978

In February, more than 800 freshmen of Grade 77 enrolled in our school last year came to school one after another. All the teachers and students warmly welcome the first batch of freshmen admitted after the reform of the enrollment system.
On May 4th, the Youth League Committee of our school held a meeting to commemorate the May 4th Movement and commended the advanced Youth League Committee. 13 advanced league branches and 55 outstanding league members were commended.
On may 13, our school held the 2 1 track and field sports meeting. The department of architectural engineering won the first place in the total score of women, the department of chemical engineering won the first place in the total score of men, and the first place in the total score of men and women.
1979
On March 27th, the school council decided to resume the celebration, which was the last Sunday at the end of April. We invited some well-known old alumni back to school, invited some recent graduates from key middle schools in Beijing to visit the school, and sent letters to invite people from Tsinghua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan to attend the school celebration.
April 10, graduation ceremony this spring. More than 2,200 students enrolled in 1975 graduated (excluding about 500 students in 17 class with a one-and-a-half-year schooling). Five students were awarded "Excellent Postgraduate Medal" and 6 1 student "Certificate of Learning Excellence".
In May, with the approval of Deng Xiaoping, Mianyang Branch of Sichuan University moved back to the school, still called the Department of Radio and Electronics. From 65438 to 0979, all the teachers and students of Mianyang Branch returned to Beijing in batches.
This year, the Department of Economic Management was established, and the Department of Electronic Engineering was renamed the Department of Computer Engineering and Science.
