Professor Li Zhuofen participated in and presided over the geological demonstration, environmental assessment and civil engineering of several large-scale fire, water and nuclear power plants in Canada, and made new progress in solving the geotechnical engineering problems of building large-scale projects under complex geological conditions, such as dam safety, nuclear waste disposal and earthquake resistance of nuclear power plants. Presided over a number of geological disaster prevention and engineering research work. This is of great theoretical innovation significance to the failure mechanism of landslides and weathered soil caused by heavy rain in Hong Kong. Put forward the master plan of landslide prevention and control in Hong Kong, presided over the study of slope treatment and land use geographic information system in Hong Kong, and successfully adopted digital information technology to make the landslide prevention and control work reach the world's leading level.
