Peking University, Macau University, East China Normal University, Jilin University, Shanghai Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai Tongji University, Wuhan University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Yunnan University Law School 1996, the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Saarland University and the Computer Department of Jiaotong University jointly launched a research project on "Natural Language Generation Technology", which was funded by the German Volkswagen Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Saarland Government and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. From 200 1 to 10, the two universities formally signed an inter-school cooperation agreement in Shanghai, which opened the prelude to all-round cooperation. In March 2005, the joint laboratory of language technology of Saarland University and Shanghai Jiaotong University was established.
