Sichuan University is a 985,211university. Sichuan University, founded in 1896, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of China. It ranks among the national "2 1 1 project", "985 project" and "double first-class" key universities. Sichuan University was formed by the merger of Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Technology and West China University of Medical Sciences.
