Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958. 198 1 was confirmed as a national key college of traditional Chinese medicine, 1996 was renamed Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the former State Education Commission. It is an excellent school for undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education and a national key discipline project.
In 2007, the school moved from Lixia District of Jinan City to Changqing, Bian Que's hometown.
