National Pingtung University of Science and Technology is located in Naipu Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. Formerly known as Kaohsiung National Pingtung Agricultural Remedial School during the Japanese occupation in Taiwan Province, it was established in April 1924. After several reforms, it was renamed and transformed into a "national" Pingtung University of Science and Technology in August, 1997. The school has the only "Wildlife Conservation Reception Center", "Stray Dog Reception Center" and "Working Dog Training School" in Taiwan Province. Neipu School covers an area of about 285 hectares, there are 268 hectares of Baolilin Farm near Kenting National Park and 576 hectares of Daren Farm in Taitung County. At present, there are 27 departments, 32 master's programs and 7 doctoral programs, which belong to four colleges of agriculture, engineering, management and humanities and social sciences. There are 34 full-time teachers, 9 professors, 32 associate professors and 295 doctors. There are 2 162 graduate students, and the total number of undergraduates is about 8568, *** 10730.
