Jincheng College has cooperative relations with several foreign universities, and exchange students from Jincheng College and foreign universities can go abroad.

Chengdu Jincheng College, formerly known as Chengdu College of Sichuan University, was founded on May 9, 2005. It is an independent college sponsored by Sichuan University with the approval of China People's Ministry of Education.

In June, 20021,with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Jincheng College of Sichuan University was transformed into an independent full-time undergraduate college and renamed Chengdu Jincheng College.

The school library was founded in July 2005 and officially opened in June 20 10. The new library was put into use on June 20 10, with natural science, engineering technology reading room, social science reading room, teaching reference books, seminar room and information technology room.
